Application

Silane flame treatment is mainly used for pretreatment. Silica coating can be applied to coated and uncoated glass, as well as food foil and molded parts.

With this form of flaming treatment, the flue gas / air mixture has an easily vaporable organic silicon compound (hydrosilicon) added to it. Hydrosilicon compounds burn to form SiOx silicate (x = 2), which is deposited on surfaces as an invisible silicate layer that is only a few nanometers thick with finite roughness.

The dose of hydrosilicon can be regulated and also activated and deactivated as required.

Design

Type FTS / EFT flame treatment units are combined with a type SFT silicate coating module for this purpose. A special Arcogas burner toner is available for silicate coating. Both installation in printers and uses as a standalone solution are possible.
